Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineering MTS in Palo Alto, CA:

Job Duties: Design and improve query performance for Tableau interactive analysis over relational as well as semi structured data sources. Design efficient query processing for both cloud as well as on-premise server scenarios.  Improve logging and telemetry to make query processing more diagnosable in production. Create innovative algorithms to provide a better experience with live queries against an even more diverse set of data sources. Improve query performance through rewrites, optimizations, and query generation. Define new analytical query constructs to support newer Tableau features and data sources such as semi-structured and streaming data.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and one (1) year of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or one (1) year of experience in the job offered.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Python; (2) SQL; (3) Java; (4) Javascript; (5) R; (6) Azure; (7) Matlab; (8) Machine Learning; (9) Deep Learning; (10) Data Structures. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. 

Salary: $148,699.00 - $209,000.00 per annum.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $148,699 to $209,000.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
