Software Engineer

CI / CD - DevOps

As a DevOps and CI/CD Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining, enhancing, and innovating Salesforce's internal CI/CD pipelines. Your expertise will give to the fast and efficient delivery of software across multiple platforms and technology stacks. This role requires a balance of software development skills and a deep understanding of DevOps principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Maintenance and Enhancement:
 - Ensure the operational integrity of our CI/CD pipelines, fixing and resolving issues as they arise.
 - Regularly evaluate the performance and efficiency of the pipelines, implementing improvements to streamline processes and reduce deployment times.

Infrastructure Oversight:
 - Supervise and maintain the underlying infrastructure supporting our CI/CD pipelines to guarantee high availability and reliability.
 - Work closely with the IT team to ensure that the infrastructure aligns with our security policies and compliance standards.

System Integration:
 - Maintain and enhance the systems integrated with our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless functionality and efficient software deployment.
 - Collaborate with various teams to understand their needs and adjust integrations to optimize workflow and pipeline performance.

Custom Software Development:
 - Develop and maintain custom software solutions in JavaScript and Java to extend the functionality of our CI/CD pipelines.
 - Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices and contributing to our codebase's health and sustainability.

Collaboration and Leadership:
 - Work closely with development, operations, and product teams to align CI/CD practices with company goals and project requirements.
 - Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
 

Qualifications:
- 4+ years of proven experience in DevOps and CI/CD practices, preferably in a large-scale environment.
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript and Java.
- Experience with the Salesforce platform is highly desirable.
- Proficient in working with various CI/CD tools and technologies.
- Solid understanding of cloud services, containerization, and orchestration (e.g., AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
