Release Engineer

Salesforce’s Release Management Team is responsible for the continuous delivery of application releases supporting business critical services used by the world’s largest enterprises. We are a collaborative, fast paced group, thriving in a culture of rapid delivery, scale, and innovation. Our top priority is to ensure an excellent customer experience as we release a constant flow of change across our products and infrastructure. As Release Managers we are invested in redefining internal processes while preserving customer trust!

We are able to leverage product and program management practices to define and lead initiatives focused on product availability, customer experience, service ownership, scalability, continuous delivery and team development. You use agile methodologies to plan, coordinate, and lead deployments of product releases, weekly patches, and daily changes in a SaaS environment.

• Combine customer empathy and passion for adapting quickly to deliver frequent, high quality releases that benefit our customers and partners and empower our engineers.
• We make data-informed decisions, take calculated risks and are effective at influencing all levels of stakeholders with the ability to communicate clearly to everyone from Executives to individual contributors. • Seek opportunities to be mentored and to mentor others. With a beginners attitude and an insatiable desire to learn, you demonstrate the analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills that you learned through your education and experience in Computer Science, Business, or another exciting field to lead cross-functional teams and deliver [r]evolutionary solutions.

Required Skills:

• 6 + years Release Management experience
• Technical program or engineering management experience at an enterprise technology company
• Solid understanding of the SaaS business model and its product development lifecycle
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation
• Outstanding organizational, communication, and relationship building skills conducive to driving consensus; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment
• Ability to master technical subjects and technologies relevant to the program
• Salesforce Platform and products experience
• Familiarity with compliance and security standards, policies, and risk management
• A related technical degree required
