 Salesforce Inc. seeks Manager, Software Engineering in San Francisco, CA:

Job Duties: Manage deliverables, objectives, priorities, tradeoffs, risk and performance of the team. Lead cross-functional projects that have a significant impact on the business. Brainstorm with product development teams and architects to identify gaps, drive strategic requirements, conceptualize and build new features. Drive release planning activities to design a plan that considers engineering driven work, product feature requests, and the team's delivery confidence. Drive the execution and delivery of the release plan and assist the team with release commitments to meet Salesforce’s go-to-market timing and objectives. Monitor and resolve end-to-end process and delivery issues and build plans and mitigations to address pain points and blockers. Manage stand-ups as the ScrumMaster and ensure that teams have clear priorities and adequate resources. Utilize Agile mindset to recruit, hire, retain, and create a collaborative environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, mastery, innovation, learning, and continuous improvement. Provide technical leadership and mentorship for the team and foster a culture of growth and learning for career development. Hire, fire, supervise direct staff and their work product. Manage team to assign appropriate tasks to meet deadlines and team goals. Collaborate with Product Management, drive strategic requirements, break them down into concrete actions, and focus on iterative, high-quality delivery of functionality. Lead engineering discussions and mentor others on technical implementation, engineering best practices, and career development. Play a pivotal role in building and improving our engineering standards, best practices, and rigor. Drive engineering excellence on the team and foster a culture of continuous learning. Recruit, coach, motivate, and grow an amazing team of engineers. ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. 

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), Information Systems, or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in a related field.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field), Information Systems).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Developing applications using Java; (2) Creating SQL procedures; (3) SDLC; (4) Data Structures; (5) Database Management Systems; (6) Web Services (REST); (7) Unix and Shell Scripting; (8) JSP; (9) XML; and (10) JSON. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. 

Salary: $187,533.00 - $254,000.00 per annum.
