Salesforce Inc. seeks Lead Software Engineer in Chicago, IL:

Job Duties (Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Design and develop high-quality code to improve platform reliability, availability, and scalability. Design, implement, and tune robust APIs and API framework-related features that perform and scale in a multi-tenant environment. Lead, collaborate, communicate, and mentor others on the team and in the company. Handle large data sets in the cloud. Build novel capabilities and new services leveraging and extending complex platforms. Design and implement intelligent and thorough testing strategies to ensure quality delivery. Participate in the team's on-call rotation to address complex problems in real-time and keep services operational and highly available. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or closely related quantitative discipline and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering)

Special Skill Requirements (1) Salesforce Lightning Web Components (1 year); (2) Spring Cloud (3 years); (3) RabbitMQ (4 years); and 5 years in each of the following: (4) Java or J2EE; (5) IBM WebSphere Portal Server; (6) REST APIs; (7) SOAP UI; (8) IBM DB2 and MySQL; (9) Spring Framework; (10) Eclipse; (11) Postman; (12) Github or any configuration management tools; (13) Ant or Maven; (14) Defining technical architecture/ solution design; and (15) Experience with non-functional requirements like logging, capacity management, and performance tuning. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Salary $167,300.00 - $258,300.00 per annum.
