Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and customer-focused Sr. Human Resources Management Systems Architect to join our dynamic team. This high-demand, pivotal role is responsible for the administration, optimization, and strategic architecture of our Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS) within a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of HR processes, exceptional technical expertise—including proficiency in Python, SQL, and API integrations—and the ability to collaborate with all departments to drive system enhancements that support organizational goals. Additionally, this role involves mentoring junior team members and working with key People systems such as UKG Pro and Greenhouse.
What you’d be doing:
- Manages daily operations of HRMS, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and security.
- Performs regular system audits and troubleshoots issues promptly.
- Designs and implements scalable HRMS architectures with a focus on automation and integration to align with business needs.
- Develops and maintains system documentation, including workflows, data models, and integration points.
- Leads the configuration and customization of HRMS modules to support HR functions such as payroll, recruitment, performance management, and learning.
- Develops scripts and automation tools using Python to enhance HRMS functionalities and streamline processes.
- Creates and maintains custom integrations and middleware solutions to connect disparate systems.
- Leads HRMS-related projects from inception to completion, including system upgrades, module implementations, and process improvements.
- Collaborates with Talent Acquisition and People Business Partners to gather requirements, define project scopes, and establish timelines.
- Monitors project progress, manages budgets, and ensures deliverables meet quality standards.
- Provides advanced support to the People Team and other end-users, addressing system-related inquiries and issues.
- Develops and delivers training programs and materials to enhance user proficiency and system utilization.
- Mentors and guides junior HRMS administrator and/or technical staff, fostering professional growth and enhancing team capabilities.
- Provides technical leadership and support to ensure the team adheres to best practices and organizational standards.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing and architecting HRIS platforms.
- Proven experience with major HRMS systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, UKG Pro, and Greenhouse.
- Demonstrated success in leading HRMS projects and system integrations.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages, particularly Python.
- Proficient in SQL for database management and reporting.
- Experience creating and managing RESTful APIs and other integration technologies.
- Experience in creating API services and managing system integrations.
- In-depth understanding of HR processes and how they are supported by technology.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices in HR data management.
Highly preferred candidates also have:
- HRIS certification (e.g., Workday Certified, SAP Certified).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
- Experience with cloud-based HRIS solutions.
- Familiarity with additional programming or scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Golang).
- Understanding of API integrations and Containerization (e.g., EKS, Docker, Lambda).
- Experience in a multi-location organization.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and technologies.
- Knowledge of SDLC practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment such as Git.
