As a vital member of the Producer Experience squad, you will be instrumental in advancing our platform and enabling agents to seamlessly quote and manage their client’s insurance policies. This role empowers you to participate in architectural discussions for the front end while collaborating closely with our back-end engineers to ensure the delivery of a high-performance and user-friendly experience. Our upcoming goals for 2024 will introduce a plethora of features and services, requiring substantial engineering decisions grounded in a profound understanding of product requirements. What you’d be doing:
- Utilize modern JavaScript tooling (React, Typescript, and an internal React component design system) to construct and test components collaboratively with your squad.
- Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and guide engineers to craft feature-rich user experiences.
- Participate actively in code quality pair programming and code reviews, elevating the overall quality of code on your squad.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience building and architecting applications with web technologies, addressing challenges related to accessibility, browser compatibility, and front-end performance.
- Proficiency with tools like NPM, Yarn, Babel, Jest, and Webpack.
- Expertise with React Hooks, React Testing Library, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
- Experience with Front-end tracing, logging, and troubleshooting.
- Development experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery in a Git based environment.
- Familiarity with agile teams and methodologies.
Highly preferred candidates also have:
- Custom Design System Components
- Formik or other React HTML form libraries
- Insurtech or Fintech environments
