Marketing Project Manager

SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Marketing Project Manager. In this role, you will manage and coordinate the execution of marketing campaigns and creative requests, leading a project from requirements definition through final deliverables. This includes identifying the project scope, project teams, workback schedules, and implementation plans; leading status meetings and proactively communicating status changes and updates to relevant stakeholders; coordinating with writers, designers, and strategists; translating stakeholder feedback into actionable creative tasks; and setting and managing stakeholder expectations.

The ideal candidate is highly organized and detail-oriented with strong project management experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for cross-functional collaboration. This role will have visibility into the various functions within our Marketing team, enabling development opportunities in areas like marketing strategy, digital marketing, copywriting, graphic design, event planning, and more. What you’d be doing:

• Establishing and maintaining processes for gathering requirements and managing scope throughout the project lifecycle.
• Reviewing, ticketing, and managing all requests for creative materials from both inside and outside of the Marketing department in our project management system.
• Interviewing stakeholders to gather and document objectives, assumptions, and requirements to enable the project team’s success.
• Developing and managing a detailed project schedule and work plan for each project, including clearly defined timelines and key milestones.
•  Analyzing creative capacity across multiple workstreams and initiatives to provide accurate lead times and to resource projects appropriately.
• Coordinating with writers, internal and external designers, strategists, and other key stakeholders to ensure work flows smoothly and quickly through the multiple touchpoints.
• Leading progress meetings to drive projects forward and make adjustments to meet deadlines and scope. Owning and optimizing our project management platform for ease of use, progress tracking, and reporting.
• Continually seeking ways to improve our processes as we grow.
• Encouraging adherence to best practices and procedures.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
• At least 5 years of proven experience in a project management role
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Extreme attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• A collaborative mindset that assumes the positive
• Experience leading cross-functional teams with non-direct reports, both internal and external partners
• A desire and strong ability to build relationships and work well across different levels and functions within the company
• The ability to identify and resolve potential issues before they occur
• Good judgment and uncompromising integrity
• Experience working with and supporting a Sales/Marketing team
• Desire to learn and commitment to continuous development

Highly preferred candidates also have:

• Certification in project management, such as PMP, PCM, or MPM
• Experience in insurance (especially property/casualty) or financial category
• Strong understanding of the marketing industry and principles
• Experience with a project management platform (Wrike preferred)
• Experience with Salesforce
