As a Software Engineer at RVO Health, you will work on the development and enhancement of our cutting-edge software solutions, leveraging your technical expertise to deliver a seamless and intuitive user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable software solutions that meet the needs of our users and drive business growth. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a mission-critical application that has a direct impact on the health and well-being of millions of individuals.
Where You'll Be
To prioritize togetherness, culture, and accountability, RVO Health operates on a hybrid in-office work schedule. We expect employees to work from our Minneapolis or Charlotte office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. You are welcome to work remotely Mondays and Fridays if you wish.
What You’ll Do
- Work on the development lifecycle of our software products, from conception and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Implement scalable, high-performance software systems that meet the unique requirements of Medicare plan comparison and enrollment.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements, prioritize features, and deliver solutions that exceed user expectations.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and optimization.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in backend architecture.
- 2+ years of experience with JavaScript/TypeScript technologies.
- 2+ years of experience building GraphQL and REST APIs.
- Good understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and query optimization.
- Good understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
- Experience with writing unit tests and end-to-end automation tests.
- Experience with Go is a plus.
Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.
- Starting Salary: $97,000 - $120,000
