Job Description:

Graduate Trainee/Apprenticeship – Global Marketing

Apprenticeship is a 12-month program that will provide a comprehensive learning experience, blending theoretical knowledge with on-the-job training. Over the 12-month period, apprentices at Russell Investments will gain valuable exposure to industry while developing essential soft skills and acclimating to a professional corporate environment.

Eligibility

• Should not be self-employed

• Should not be enrolled under other government-funded programs

• Should not be practicing professionally at the time of application

• Should not be registered on EPF/ ESIC Portal

• Should not have completed their education from a foreign university

Apprentices who enroll should have their Aadhaar seeded with their personal mobile number and personal email address. This is a mandate.

About the Role

Are you passionate about design, visual storytelling, and creative problem-solving? Russell Investments is seeking a Graduate Trainee – Junior Designer as part of our Graduate Trainee Program. This role provides an opportunity to work on real-world design projects while learning from experienced creative professionals in a collaborative global environment.

Reporting to the Design Lead, you will support the development of digital and print marketing materials, presentations, infographics, and brand assets. The ideal candidate combines creativity with attention to detail and is excited to grow their skills in branding, visual communication, and design production.

Job Summary

The Graduate Trainee – Junior Designer will support the Brand and Creative Team in developing visually engaging marketing and communication materials across digital and print platforms. This is an entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate looking to build a career in graphic design, branding, and visual communication.

Working closely with the Design Lead and broader marketing team, the Trainee will assist in creating and updating creative assets while learning best practices in brand management, design execution, and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation and adaptation of marketing and communication materials across digital and print channels.

• Assist in designing presentations, infographics, brochures, social media assets, and other marketing collateral.

• Apply brand guidelines consistently across all creative deliverables.

• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and other stakeholders to translate ideas into visual concepts.

• Assist with image editing, formatting, layout design, and content updates.

• Learn and apply design best practices, typography, and visual storytelling techniques.

• Support multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.

• Stay informed about emerging design trends and creative technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, Marketing, or a related field.

• Recent graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience (including internships).

• Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint.

• Understanding of design principles, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

• Good communication and collaboration skills.

• Portfolio showcasing academic, internship, freelance, or personal design projects is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to motion graphics, video editing, or digital content creation.

• Familiarity with UX/UI concepts.

• Interest in financial services, marketing, or corporate communications.
