Mechanical Engineer (PUMPS)

Location: Duque da Caxias, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

The Mechanical Engineer at Ruhrpumpen will be responsible for analyzing and approving mechanical designs, providing technical support to manufacturing and quality departments, and liaising with customers and suppliers, as well as participating in the resolution of technical issues related to equipment performance, reliability, and manufacturing.Key responsibilities:• Analyze, review, and approve mechanical manufacturing designs.• Provide technical support to production, quality, procurement, and field service departments.• Oversee manufacturing processes involving heavy fabrication, machining, welding, industrial painting, and non-destructive testing.• Prepare and review technical documentation, drawings, and engineering specifications.• Participate in kick-off meetings, project tracking, and technical alignment sessions with customers and suppliers.• Analyze and resolve non-conformities and field issues.• Provide technical support for equipment installation, commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting.• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, reliability, and performance.• Act as a technical liaison with multidisciplinary domestic and international teams.Requirements:• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.• Experience with centrifugal pumps, rotating equipment, or pumping systems.• Knowledge of HI, API 610, and API 682 standards.• Knowledge of mechanical seals and auxiliary systems.• Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes, including machining, boilermaking, welding, and non-destructive testing.• Experience interpreting technical drawings and engineering documentation.• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Inventor.• Intermediate or advanced English for technical communication
