Rue Gilt Groupe is looking for a Front-end Senior Software Engineer I to join our Merch tools Engineering Team in Dublin, IRE. This person is someone who is inspired to build scalable and sophisticated systems that synthesize data from thousands of brands and millions of consumers, to deliver an engaging real-time experience to users on the go. We're currently modernizing our technical stack and need motivated contributors to drive our technology forward. On the frontend, you'll be able to contribute to modern React and Typescript single-page applications, running on AWS cloud-native architectures.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate on and share ownership of development and architecture evolution for our Store Management application, Pricing tools and platform.
• Operate in an SDLC environment of fail-fast incremental delivery where innovation is a mainstay and experimentation is encouraged.
• Develop tooling to the latest UI/UX standards utilizing modern technology approaches, languages and frameworks.
• Work closely with other team members to deliver high-quality software products that drive business value.
• Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders across multiple business and technology teams in a timely and effective manner.
• Lead by example, mentor and coach junior team members, utilize best practices and foster an environment of quality.

• Bachelor’s Degree desired, but not required
• 5+ years of experience
• Must have experience in Web technologies like React and Typescript. Anything else is a bonus!
• Knowledge of the Node.js ecosystem
• Knowledge of design systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD best practices
• Experience with a Cloud computing platform
• Extensive SaaS experience, internal users facing preferred
• A drive to iterate architecture in harmony with an agile workflow
• Experience with modern objected-oriented development, dynamic language preferred
• Experience working in an Agile/Kanban development team
• A love of learning and teaching
• Fluency in English
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders while working in a collaborative team environment

About the Merch Tools Engineering Team:

The Merch Tools Engineering Team at Rue Gilt Groupe is composed of multidisciplinary team members covering frontend, backend, quality assurance and product management roles. The team members have varying levels of experience, bringing unique insight and expertise. The team owns our Store Manager back office application with specific responsibility for innovation around pricing core functionalities. 

Job Location: Hybrid, Ireland-based candidates only

Expected Base Salary Range: 85,000 - 95,000
