Solipsys is a wholly owned subsidiary of Collins Aerospace and an industry leader in the development of integrated C4I Network Centric Defense System solutions for both the Domestic and International DoD.

What You Will Do:

• Emphasis at this level is System integration and performance verification of software products.  The successful candidate will be engaged with exciting and innovative advancements in Multi-Sensor and Information Fusion, Networked Situational Awareness, and Visualization technologies at our Fulton, Maryland office (in Maple Lawn) with occasional travel to customer sites, including international locations.

• System requirements analysis, definition and management

• System architecture design and Trade studies

• Technical support for software development team

• Systems Integration and Functional and Performance Requirements Verification, Defect Investigation and Correction Verification, and Automated Test Creation and Execution

What You Will Learn:

• Learn the fundamentals of the Systems Engineering discipline

• Gain hands on experience testing and debugging state of the art Command and Control software

• Establish mentoring relationships with the brightest systems engineers in the business to help you build a solid foundation for your future as a professional engineer

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Proven knowledge of advanced mathematics principles, using calculus

• Previous experience as an intern or summer hire, working for a DoD contractor

• Ability to understand and apply commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the systems engineering field (ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288)

• Understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) techniques, and the Unified Modeling Language (UML)

• Ability to learn to use of Requirements Management software, such as DOORS

• Ability to develop skills using a system architecture development tool, such as Cameo, Enterprise Architect or Rational Suite

• Advanced knowledge of Linux, Unix, and Microsoft Windows operating systems

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, working as part of a team

• Advanced knowledge of standard MS Office product suite applications

• Willingness for occasional domestic and international travel (~5%)

• Working knowledge of Linux Operating System and Java and C++ software languages

• Experience with standard MS Office product suite applications

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
