We’re seeking a DevSecOps Development Lead to drive enterprise DevSecOps modernization, standardize delivery platforms, and enable secure, export‑controlled engineering environments. This role provides senior technical leadership across CI/CD, cloud automation, and secure software delivery practices while guiding teams through modernization and platform consolidation efforts.

**This is a hybrid position, at one of Collins major facilities**


What You Will Do *

Enterprise DevSecOps Modernization:

  • Lead DevSecOps strategy and modernization across toolchains, pipelines, security controls, and development teams.

  • Ensure consistent architecture, policy alignment, and adoption of modern DevSecOps practices.

Platform Standardization & Legacy Migration:

  • Serve as technical authority for retiring legacy platforms (ADO, SVN, Jenkins, Bitbucket).

  • Guide migrations to the enterprise-standard DevOps Platform (GitLab, Artifactory, Grafana, Coverity).

  • Drive re‑architecture, governance alignment, and cross‑team migration planning to reduce fragmentation, improve security, and lower long‑term maintenance risk.

Secure, Unified Export‑Controlled Environments:

  • Provide expertise in secure software architecture and export‑controlled Type D environment design.

  • Ensure compliance, technical alignment, and unified DevSecOps toolchain deployment.

  • U.S.-based technical leadership is required for regulatory and export-controlled data handling.

CI/CD, Cloud & Automation Engineering:

  • Build and maintain secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.

  • Support GitLab runners, build environments, and platform reliability.

  • Develop Infrastructure‑as‑Code solutions and support cloud-native environments (AWS).

  • Troubleshoot complex deployment, integration, and automation issues.

Technical Leadership & Mentorship:

  • Mentor administrators and developers on DevSecOps practices, pipeline design, and automation.

  • Partner with development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to improve delivery efficiency and security.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Git and Git-based workflows.

  • CI/CD pipeline design and support (GitLab strongly preferred).

  • AWS or other cloud experience.

  • Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.

  • Solid understanding of SDLC and DevSecOps principles.

  • Ability to collaborate across multiple technical teams

  • Experience participating in agile ceremonies and backlog refinement.

  • Secure software delivery practices.

  • Identity and access management fundamentals.

  • Authentication, authorization, and service account concepts.

  • Ability to support aerospace and regulatory compliance requirements (including ITAR).

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • GitLab administration and runner management.

  • Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes.

  • Grafana monitoring.

  • Artifactory/JFrog administration.

  • Keycloak or similar identity management.

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
