What You Will Do:

  • Provide Linux systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
  • Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment using troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems.
  • Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
  • Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
  • Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
  • Full time 100% onsite position in Woburn, MA location.
  • Start date will be set when interim clearance is obtain


 

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires bachelor’s and minimum of 2+ years of relevant prior experience.
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. government issued secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat environment.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Current and active U.S. government issued secret security clearance.
  • Experience with data RAID, data backup uses, and technologies.
  • Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification)
  • Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF
  • Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions
  • Experience with using Information Technology project lifecycle management processes.
  • Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
  • High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment
  • Linux Ansible/scripting experience

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
