Immerse yourself in a Monday-Friday Co-Op session, that will run from July to December (it is expected students will take this time off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
What You Will Learn:

What You Will Do:
- Support programs across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements, design, coding, testing, and verification.
• Collaborate closely with system and software engineers across Collins Aerospace to drive unified technical goals. - Support the development of small applications and scripts that support integration, automation, and continuous flow of software updates.
- Assist in creating frameworks to automate testing, deployment, and software delivery.
- English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Actively pursuing a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and enrolled through the completion of the co‑op session.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.
- Familiiarity with certification‑based development such as RTCA/DO‑178 or similar.
- Knowledge of Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience with one or more programming languages: C/C++, Python, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ada 95
- Experience with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or LynxOS.
- Familiarity with tools and processes including Git, GitLab, SVN, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo/Panda.
- Experience with containerization (Docker Desktop or similar).

Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.
