What You'll Do

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will:

  • Design, develop, and validate DO-178 compliant safety-critical embedded software for next-generation avionics systems.

  • Lead software development across the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Analyze customer and system requirements and decompose them into high- and low-level software requirements.

  • Develop robust software architectures and embedded applications using C/C++.

  • Define and execute comprehensive verification and validation strategies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Systems Engineering, Verification, Certification, and Program Management.

  • Ensure compliance with aerospace certification standards and industry best practices.

  • Drive technical excellence while mentoring engineers and influencing project outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in Embedded Software Development for Aerospace or Safety-Critical Systems.

  • 6+ Years of Strong expertise in DO-178 and ARP4754A development processes.

  • 9+ Years of Hands-on experience with embedded software development using C/C++.

  • 8+ Years of Deep understanding of software lifecycle processes, requirements engineering, and verification methodologies.

  • Experience deriving software requirements from system/customer requirements.

  • 7+ Years of Strong knowledge of avionics communication protocols:

    • ARINC 429

    • AFDX

    • ARINC 653

    • ARINC 615A

  • Experience defining software test strategies and verification plans.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge or experience in Flight Management Systems (FMS).

  • Exposure to scripting languages and automation tools.

  • Experience working on certified avionics platforms.
