Join the Hardware Engineering Center Tech Staff as a temporary Hardware Technology Architect.  Work with the program area team to grow the portfolio of programs.  Provide independent technical evaluations.  Mentor engineering teams and their leaders.  This position will be onsite in El Segundo, CA, with occasional travel to support reviews, customer presentations and demonstrations.

What You Will Do 

  • Support development of technical strategies and assist with responses to RFI/RFPs to expand the business area

  • Provide independent expert technical evaluations for reviews

  • Travel as required to support customer presentations and demonstrations

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 14 years of prior relevant experience

  • Expertise in the design, implementation, integration, and calibration of hardware for low-band radar and multi-function systems.

  • Experience communicating, working with and making presentations for high-level customers.

  • Experience with the application of USG Open Architecture standards to emerging systems.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Advanced Engineering Degree

  • Experience as an Engineering Principal Fellow

The hourly rate for this role is $98.07 to $187.12. The compensation range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
