The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services team:

Provide services for infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and general IT support to enable the Enterprise Services Business Systems Applications in the Operations, Supply Chain and Quality portfolio. Participate in support, planning, definition of best practices, and collaborative meetings in support of these goals. 

As a Full Stack Developer, you will work with cutting-edge technologies to develop and improve our web applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards for performance, usability, and security. You will be responsible for both the client-side and server-side logic, developing seamless user experiences, and contributing to all aspects of the software lifecycle, from design to deployment.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Application Database Administrator as well as a Full Stack Developer with both front-end and back-end development, and be excited to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do:

• Work with a small team on development projects and cloud migrations and support.

• Deliver practical solutions to complex problems.

• Design, develop, and support new and existing applications.

• Work as an application DBA supporting new and existing application databases.

• Work as a system administrator

• Collaborate with development team, system administrators, and network engineers

• Create and maintain system documentation, including best practices, procedures, and policies.

• Work effectively in a geographically distributed team environment.

• Engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously

• Work independently with users to define concepts

• Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Minimum Education is BS in MIS, Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8 years of work experience or related field or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

• Experience with database management systems (DBMS) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra). Including Knowledge of database design, normalization, and indexing. With strong SQL skills for querying and optimizing databases. Knowledge of database backup and recovery methods. Experience in scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automating tasks. Familiarity with cloud databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).

• Familiarity with object-oriented programming languages such as: C#, Java, and RESTful APIs. Strong experience with JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (GitHub, GitLab, etc.). Ability to write clean, modular, and efficient code. Experience with unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Windows, and Linux system administration experience beyond account maintenance.

 

 

Qualifications We Prefer: 

• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes is a plus

• Experience managing cloud-based solutions on Azure and/or AWS is a plus.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
