What YOU will do
- Develop, coordinate and conduct technical reliability studies and evaluate engineering design concepts and design of experiments (DOE) constructs.
- Recommend design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability.
- Compile and analyze performance reports, process control statistics and relevant variables potentially affecting product and process, including possible development of mathematical models to identify units, batches or processes posing excessive failure risks.
- Measure reliability necessities of new products and materials; and measure and analyze the reliability of the design, materials, processes, cost and final products of production.
- Monitor endurance/fatigue tests.
- Operate basic engineering qualification test rigs; and set-up tests and builds and mounts units in test rigs.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field and at least two years of experience in a role involving Aircraft component certification requiring CFR part 25 compliance.
- Must possess at least 2 years of experience preparing documentation for assigned projects related to certification of aircraft components which includes Cert plans, Similarity/Compliance Reports, Qualification plans, Qualification reports, defining test pass/fail criteria, formulation of different templates for reports.
- Must possess at least 2 years of experience participating in design reviews of complex analyses and tests pertaining to the development of new aircraft component designs, methods, materials, and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements specifically for commercial aircraft component certification.
- Must possess at least 2 years of experience in reviewing complex drawings for machined, pressure formed, vacuum formed, injection molded and composite parts to ensure aircraft certification type design is maintained and conform to regulatory requirements for commercial aircraft component applications.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work onsite. This

The salary range is $64,000.00 to $128,000.00 USD per year. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
