What You Will Do
Specific responsibilities include creating aerodynamic designs of Fan and Compressor components for aircraft gas turbines that meet aggressive design cycle time and component performance targets. Opportunities exist to work on a wide range of products and technical initiatives, including three-dimensional flow analysis, subsonic and supersonic airfoil designs, and compressor stability enhancements.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Performing compressor aerodynamic analysis
- Design of compressor aerodynamic features including airfoil and flowpath shapes
- Review and analysis of engine test data
- Supporting closure of key technical issues
- Working in teams with other engineers to improve technical capability
What You Will Learn
- This position is a part of our Engineering Development Program (EDP). EDP participants will complete three to four rotations to build technical breadth and leadership abilities before graduating from the program.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field
- Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0
Qualifications We Prefer
- Internship experience with Pratt & Whitney, RTX, or within the aerospace industry
- Master’s degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering
- Familiarity with aero-thermal fluids experimentation and/or CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
