About the role

As a Technical Researcher / Engineer within the Bidding Efficiency workflow, you'll play a pivotal role in exploring and understanding the latest technologies in the ad tech domain. You'll be responsible for conducting in-depth research, experimenting with new technologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve their efficacy in our systems. Your role will involve a blend of programming, research, and analytical skills to evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of various ad tech solutions. The following skills will be crucial:

• Strong technical proficiency: Programming skills and the ability to understand large and complex systems and architectures.
• Strong desire for learning and knowledge acquisition: Openness to continuous learning and expanding skills in the ad tech domain.
• Independence: Ability to make decisions and take action without excessive supervision while maintaining a high standard of work.
• Goal-oriented mindset: Focus on achieving specific project goals and the ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment.
• Teamwork: Ability to effectively collaborate with team members and other teams, both internally and externally.
• Good communication: Ability to clearly convey knowledge and information internally between teams and in cooperation with external organizations (major browser vendors, standardization forums like W3C, GitHub discussions).
• Openness and willingness to experiment: Readiness to take on new challenges, explore new technologies, and seek innovative solutions.
• Proactive attitude: Initiative in proposing ideas and actively seeking ways to improve existing processes and solutions.
• Ability to build Proof of Concepts (PoCs): Capability to create prototypes and experimental solutions to evaluate their effectiveness and utility in practice.

Must have

• 3+ years of experience as researcher or engineer.
• Proficiency in programming.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to derive meaningful insights.
• Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders

Work requires both in-depth inquisitive approach as well as methodical research but is potentially very rewarding - what you find and improve will immediately impact the bottom line
• Contest the status quo. The platform is mature and highly efficient but a complex system is never fully optimized. Help research and understand the equilibrium, design a test suite that will find the good-enough configuration balancing complexity and efficiency
