Responsibilities
- Facilitate SPM-focused workshops to understand client portfolio management processes, demand intake, resource planning, and project delivery frameworks
- Define and communicate a clear SPM vision and roadmap, aligning SPM capabilities (Demand Management, Project Portfolio Management, Resource Management, Agile Development) with business strategy and outcomes
- Own and manage the SPM product backlog, prioritizing features such as demand intake, project tracking, capacity planning, and financial management
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify dependencies across SPM modules (e.g., Demand → Project → Resource → Financials) and drive logical implementation sequencing
- Act as a strategic advisor to optimize portfolio visibility, investment planning, and resource utilization through SPM capabilities
- Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and reviews with a focus on iterative delivery of SPM solutions
- Analyze existing portfolio and project management processes to identify opportunities for improved governance, prioritization, and execution
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment on SPM strategy, configuration, and outcomes
- Drive stakeholder adoption of standardized demand, project, and resource management processes
- Ensure delivery of scalable solutions that support enterprise portfolio management, Agile delivery, and hybrid project environments
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience, including Administrator Certification
- Hands-on experience implementing and supporting SPM modules (Demand Management, Project Portfolio Management, Resource Management, Agile Development)
- Experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst supporting SPM implementations and portfolio management transformations
- 3–5 years of client-facing experience in a consulting or advisory role, with strong stakeholder management skills
- 3+ years working in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe), preferably delivering or SPM solutions
- Strong understanding of portfolio management, project delivery lifecycles, and resource planning
- Proven experience with project governance, demand prioritization, and portfolio reporting
- Experience with financial tracking, budgeting, and forecasting within project or portfolio management tools
- Demonstrated ability to perform business and technical requirements analysis, process mapping, and solution design
- Strong knowledge of ITIL/ITSM principles and how they align with enterprise portfolio management
Preferred Qualifications
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- SPM-specific certifications (e.g., Certified Implementation Specialist – SPM)
- Experience integrating SPM with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or other Agile/project management platforms
- Familiarity with portfolio prioritization frameworks, capacity planning, and investment governance models
- Knowledge of financial management concepts such as CapEx/OpEx tracking and ROI analysis
- Experience with enterprise Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe) and their integration with portfolio management
- Understanding of enterprise architecture or governance frameworks such as COBIT or Lean Portfolio Management

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $85,100 - $161,700Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
