The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordination and execution of all aspects of assigned projects throughout the project lifecycle. The incumbent is responsible for assembling project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, and developing the project plan, schedule, and budget to ensure timely completion of projects. During project execution, the incumbent is also accountable for managing issues and risks, facilitating change requests, maintaining project financials, and providing status reports.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate definition of project scope, and manage to objectives, budget, schedule, resources, and deliverables that support business goals
Create and execute project plans. Revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements while following BP&T SDLC methodology
Ensure project documents are complete, up-to-date, and stored appropriately
Works with Program Managers or Project Manager on Cost Benefit Analysis and completion of approval processes for ITG and IT Business Advisory Board review through required phase gates of project
Communicate project status and updates
Mentor project managers and junior project team members
Other duties as assigned
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Technical Skills:
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
General knowledge of business and IT systems
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Experience with MS Project, Workbench or related tool
Understanding of Earned Value Management
Requirements:
Applies technical/procedural requirements of the position based on knowledge and experience within specialization
Ability to attract, lead, motivate, and retain a team
Effective organization and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Strong attention to detail
PMP Certification (required)
Experience:
5-8 years relevant experience.
Experience managing multiple projects of low to moderate risk
Ability to supervise, direct, and review the results of projects or assignments
Ability to support, affect, and implement change
Strong stakeholder management skills
Ability to impact and influence a diverse population
Collaborate with resource managers while meeting project objectives
Preferred Requirements:
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Previous project or team management experience
