Software Administrator

Primary Responsibilities
The Software Administrator is responsible for overseeing the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of designated software applications across the organization. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient system performance, security compliance, and user support to enhance business operations.
- Install, configure, and update software applications to ensure compatibility and security.
- Maintain software licensing compliance and manage user access.
- Monitor software performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in software systems.
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits of software usage and performance.
- Provide technical support to employees for software-related issues.
- Work with vendors and developers to resolve software bugs and optimize performance.
- Document troubleshooting steps and maintain an internal knowledge base.
- Evaluate and recommend software solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and implement software policies, best practices, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate software systems.
- Maintain detailed records of software inventory, updates, and patches.
- Prepare reports on software performance, security compliance, and usage trends.
- Train staff on software tools and best practices.
Job Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- A willingness to learn and grow is critical for this position.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in software administration or IT support.
