What is the Opportunity?

Seeking a highly skilled and strategic thinker to join our team as a Tech Infrastructure Strategy Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic oversight and accountability for RBC’s U.S. infrastructure approach, in alignment with the strategy of the US CIO and with the global Enterprise Technology Infrastructure function. You will be responsible driving secure and efficient infrastructure implementation and performance for all businesses operating in the U.S. including City National Bank, Wealth Management – U.S., U.S. Global Asset Management, RBC Bank (Georgia) and U.S. Capital Markets. This is a unique opportunity to lead transformative initiatives and shaping the future of technology infrastructure within RBC.

What will you do?

  • Drive infrastructure strategies and practices to enable execution of business strategies for the US Region, in partnership with the US CIO organization and with Enterprise Technology Infrastructure (TI)

  • Provide advice and support to the US CIO and more broadly to the Intermediate Holding Company (IHC) and US leadership team on infrastructure matters across the Combined US Operations (CUSO)

  • Oversee infrastructure services that support the CUSO for all internal and client facing applications; ensures systems are architected to be secure, resilient, and scalable.

  • Ensure alignment of infrastructure delivery to the vision of the US CIO for all cross-regional matters (e.g., governance and Legal entity work across the region, regional tech strategies)

  • Represents TI on internal US CIO Committees.

  • Ensure that TI processes and reporting are comprehensively and effectively representing the CUSO landscape and are managed at a level that is in-line with US regulatory expectations.

 Must have:

  • Ability to align technology infrastructure strategies with business objectives.

  • Demonstrate understanding of the full spectrum of regulatory actions, including examinations and other supervisory engagement and processes.

  • Proven experience in leading cross functional teams and collaborating with senior executives to drive outcomes.

  • Demonstrated capability to identify challenges and develop innovative solutions.

  • Develop an overall structure to support TI requirements for the US region.

Nice-to-have:

  • Strong organizational skills and experience in managing large-scale infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with working in financial services industries, ensuring compliance with standards and policies.

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $200,000 - $325,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.  This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
