WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Quantitative & Technology Services (QTS) group of RBC Capital Markets is looking to hire Software Developer for their IT solutions enabling business, improving operational efficiencies, delivering process automation and regulatory compliance.
As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for technical design, development and maintenance of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. With multiple Business Process Management applications satisfying various operational and regulatory use cases, you will have ample opportunities to apply your experience, deep knowledge, skills, and practices in building and maintaining new solutions. You will as well be responsible for all DevOps activities on the platform and overall currency of platform and tech components. You will as well have opportunity to coach development team members on the team to ensure high quality of solutions delivery.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Design and develop Business Process and Document Management workflow applications; perform testing for developed applications.
Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing for a large-scale system.
Responsible to keep the platform and applications compliant to emerging DevOps requirements and security risks to keep the platform and applications complaint as per Enterprise guidelines.
Perform proof of concepts on new technology solutions, and present recommendations.
Own production issue investigations, fixes, release planning, associated documentation, reviews, support for disaster recovery testing and other related technical activities
Maintain records for the documentation of systems development and revisions.
Contribute to estimates, planning, for technical deliveries across the portfolio.
Support Lead developer on continuous improvement initiatives to ensure high quality of IT delivery.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must Have:
7+ years of experience building and maintaining Java, Spring boot applications and integrations.
3+ years of experience on DevOps and addressing IT vulnerabilities.
Proven experience in building highly available, scalable, and resilient business focused workflow and document management solutions for Finance industry.
Experience of mentoring, coaching developers and working with onsite and remote development and QA teams
Strong problem solving, design, and analytical skills and out of the box thinking producing creative solutions on testing approach in critical timelines.
Excellent communication skills and effective negotiation skills.
Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while managing a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
