What is the opportunity?

Manage a team of individuals responsible for ensuring national business management reports whether solely or jointly responsible for, are delivered on time.  Responsible for developing and maintaining analytical tools while supporting various strategic initiatives undertaken by the business.  Beyond maintaining the analytical tools developed, this role will be accountable for enhancing those same analytical tools by providing user-friendly real-time configuration capabilities that can be customized dependent on the end users’ preferences.  This role will also be responsible for identifying opportunities to streamline existing business managed and developed tools, streamline the contents captured in various forms of reporting while providing meaningful data insights to senior leadership within the business.             

What will you do?

• Identify opportunities to leverage RBC’s proprietary AI to support analytics & reporting capabilities

• Provide an intermediate to advanced technical skillset required to support various forms of analytical tools and applications

• Identify/lead strategic roadmaps for how to better leverage the data we maintain

• Identify alternative means of data collection, shifting away from manual to more automated solutions

• Initiate and lead the development and enhancement of reporting systems and analytical tools

• Proactively identify opportunities for improved process efficiencies and develop/implement solutions to address them

• Shift the behavioral aspect of how we leverage the data we maintain, moving towards a self-enabled model which supports real time data insights

• Further refine key business metrics and financials and how they are reported

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• 4-7 years of business, finance, investment, IT, or related experience

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

• Advanced proficiency in Access, SQL, PowerBI, and/or Tableau

• Demonstrated ability to ideate, initiate, develop and implement solutions

Nice-to-have

• General knowledge of estate and trust services, custody solutions, investments, financial planning counselling and taxation issues

• Previous supervisory experience

• Python and Pandas skills are additional nice to haves

• General knowledge of project management disciplines

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$90,000.00 - $140,000.00
