Senior Full Stack Developer

What is the opportunity?

Intelligent Operations is one of the largest initiatives and RBC is looking to embrace AI in ways to transform the way we manage our businesses. Incorporating unified data observability, AI-powered analysis and automated resolution, this product will drastically improve our understanding and management of the RBC environment. This role will help define and develop the front-end components that users will see and use on a daily basis.

What will you do?

• Provide information on the detailed technical design and development of infrastructure applications using existing and emerging technology platforms.
• Apply experience and seasoned knowledge, skills, and practices to perform a variety of assignments.
• Design and code application programs; perform testing for developed applications.
• Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale system.
• Ensure the operating efficiency of existing application systems.
•  Maintain records for the documentation of systems development and revisions.
• Conduct analyses of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.
• Create front-end applications in React and back-end applications using Python.
• Coding for infrastructure tools such as databases and storage.

What do you need to succeed?

 Must have:

• Software development experience using: Python & React
• Databases: MongoDB / Postgres / SQL Server / Redis
• API integration: Fast API/ REST API
• Platforms: Linux / Openshift / Kubernetes / Windows / Cloud Private & Public (AWS, azure) / TerraForm
• CI/CD: Github
• A strong understanding of technology and/or financial services industry.

Nice-to-have: 

• Java / Spring / Springboot / JSON
• Business Process Modeling (BPMN), Camunda, Activiti, IBM-PAM/RHPAM
• Messaging: Kafka / RabbitMQ
