Description du poste
À titre de développeur, vous allez collaborer, innover, proposer des idées et créer dans un environnement de démarrage flexible.
Votre équipe interfonctionnelle de spécialistes (opérations, données et programmation) devra élaborer un produit ou une solution à de véritables enjeux opérationnels que vous devrez présenter à des parties prenantes à la fin de l’été.
Vous serez en contact avec des experts-ressources, des accompagnateurs et des mentors, et aurez accès à des ressources et à des formations techniques et professionnelles qui vous aideront à donner vie à votre idée.
Vous serez appelé à communiquer régulièrement avec le personnel du siège social à Toronto.

- Vous consacrer à un enjeu opérationnel et miser sur la collaboration pour concevoir un produit novateur.
- Mettre en pratique vos aptitudes pour le travail d’équipe, la pensée critique, la communication et le leadership afin de contribuer à la réussite de votre équipe.
- Concevoir, créer et livrer un prototype de produit entièrement fonctionnel qui répond à un besoin réel de la Banque.
- Travailler avec des technologies sectorielles de pointe.
- Collaborer avec les experts-ressources, les mentors et les représentants de la direction et les parties prenantes (technologies et opérations) pour bâtir votre solution.
- Apprendre continuellement grâce à une variété d’occasions de formation, y compris sur la pensée conceptuelle, le développement agile et d’autres outils.
- Faire des présentations à des cadres, développer des stratégies et rédiger des communications.
Éléments clés à la réussite
Compétences essentielles
- Études postsecondaires (collège, premier cycle, maîtrise ou doctorat) en cours, avec obtention du diplôme prévue entre août 2025 et juin 2026.
- Compréhension des langages de programmation, des bases de données, des plateformes, des cadres, des techniques et outils de conception, des outils de gestion de code ou des technologies Web.
- Compréhension des processus et méthodologies agiles.
- Excellentes aptitudes pour les relations interpersonnelles et la communication (orale et écrite).
- Pensée créatrice et analytique, autonomie et capacité à travailler dans un environnement effervescent.
- Excellent leadership et esprit d’équipe et excellentes aptitudes pour la collaboration.
- Capacité à remettre en question le statu quo et à sortir des sentiers battus pour concevoir des solutions.
- Disponibilité pour se rendre à Toronto
ET au moins une des caractéristiques suivantes :
- Expérience avec les plateformes infonuagiques et les technologies connexes.
- Expérience en développement d’applications mobiles.
- Expériences des processus et outils de développement et exploitation.
- Expérience avec des plateformes multifacettes comme Spring Frameworks, Angular, NodeJS, Flask, etc.
- Expérience des architectures basées sur les services et du développement d’interfaces de programmation (Rest, GraphQL, etc.)
Compétences souhaitées
- Expérience des marathons de programmation.
- Aisance à travailler avec des parties prenantes et un large auditoire et à leur faire des présentations.
- Intérêt pour le secteur financier ou la technologie financière ou expérience dans ces domaines.
- Connaissance pratique de l’élaboration de contenu Web ou mobile.

RBC Amplify is an intensive summer innovation program that will put your skills to the test while building a product that could disrupt our company and beyond. If you’re a bright mind with fresh ideas, top of your class, own the hackathon circuit and are passionate about innovation, we want you!

What is the opportunity?
As a Developer you will collaborate, innovate, ideate and build in a flexible, start-up environment.
You will tackle real RBC business challenges as a member of a cross-functional team of specialists (think: business, data, and programming) by developing a product or solution that you pitch to stakeholders at the end of the summer.
Over the course of the program, you will have access to subject matter experts, coaches, mentors, as well as technical and professional training and resources to bring your idea to life.
In this role, you will communicate frequently with head office staff in Toronto.
What will you do? Discover. Research. Build. Pitch.
Immerse yourself in a business challenge with an intense focus on collaboration to develop an innovative product.
You will be challenged to step outside your comfort zone while applying your teamwork, critical thinking, communication and leadership skills to help your team succeed in ambiguity.
You will be expected to research, design, create and deliver a fully functional prototype to RBC that solves a real business need.
Work with cutting edge and industry standard technologies
Work with subject matter experts, mentors, executive sponsors and stakeholders (technology and business) to build your solution.
Engage in continuous learning through various training opportunities including design thinking, agile development, and other tools.
Executive presentations, developing strategy and communications for your project.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
Must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution, graduating between August 2025 and June 2026 (College, Undergrad, Master's or PhD).
Understanding of programming languages, databases, platforms, frameworks, design techniques and tools, code management tooling, and/or web technologies.
Understanding of Agile methodologies and processes.
Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written).
Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent leadership, teamwork and collaboration skills.
Ability to challenge the status quo and think outside the box to develop solutions.
AND one or more of the following:
Experience with cloud platforms and related technology.
Experience with mobile application development.
Experience with DevOps tools and processes.
Experience with full-stack technologies such as Spring Frameworks, Angular, NodeJS, Flask, etc.
Experience with service-based architectures and API development (Rest, GraphQL, etc.)
Nice to have
Experience with hackathons
Comfortable working with and presenting to stakeholders and large audiences
Expressed interest or previous experience in the financial industry or FinTech.
Practical experience in web or mobile development.
Experience in agile or design thinking methodologies or frameworks.
Experience using Figma
