We are looking for a Principal Applied Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer

Compensation: $260,000 - $300,000, employee equity plan grant & world class benefits.

As a Principal Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our innovative projects. Leveraging cutting-edge ML advancements, you'll work within our Relevancy org, driving ML solutions from research to production. You'll be instrumental in crafting and scaling ML strategies that make a real impact, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and the VP of Engineering (AI/Data). Your work will focus on areas like CTR and conversion modeling, UX optimization, price optimization, and NLP. We encourage continuous learning and experimentation with new deep learning architectures, allowing you to prototype, test, and deploy your groundbreaking solutions in a dynamic and impactful environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement machine learning algorithms along with scalable data processing and machine learning pipelines to solve business problems
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to identify machine learning opportunities
• Evaluate and improve the performance of machine learning models
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in machine learning research and apply them to real-world problems
• Sharing your knowledge by giving brown bag sessions, tech talks, and evangelising appropriate tech and engineering best practices.

About you:

• PhD or Masters's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics a similar technical field of study with a specialisation in Machine Learning, Data mining, Information Retrieval or Data science.
• 10+ years of industry experience in building production-grade machine learning systems with all aspects of research, model training, tuning, deploying, serving and monitoring. Industry experience in ecommerce, recommender systems, digital marketing or two-sided marketplaces is a plus.
• Experience in the following areas - Bayesian methods, Reinforcement learning, Deep learning Architectures and Recommendation systems and if you have experience in ML for Ads or ecommerce it is a big plus.
• You excel in a dynamic, fast-paced setting, bringing a proven track record of meaningful contributions across teams, while effectively communicating ideas and learnings through collaborative discussions and presentations.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Kubeflow, TFX and Feature Store in a production environment is a massive plus
