Job Description
Rockwell Automation is in the process of implementing the Windchill solution as a new corporate-wide PLM platform. If you're interested in joining a newly formed and growing team, please apply for this role.
You will be part of the global IT Product Lifecycle Management team and important to ensuring the quality and reliability of our global PLM system.
You will report to the Manager located in Poland and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.
Your Responsibilities:
- Own and execute the end-to-end Windchill testing lifecycle, including test planning, execution, defect management, and reporting.
- Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks to support regression testing and validation across environments.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Tosca or equivalent enterprise automation platforms.
- Validate functional and technical requirements for enhancements, integrations, and configuration changes within Windchill.
- Perform risk-based regression testing aligned with release schedule and CPS governance requirements
- Manage and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, ensuring business validation and traceability to requirements.
- Collaborate with Windchill developers, architects, and functional analysts to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Integrate testing activities into CI/CD and DevOps pipelines
- Track and document test execution results, defects, and quality metrics in enterprise tools like qTest
- Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives) and contribute to backlog refinement.
- Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, automation coverage, and testing efficiency across the platform.
- Ensure alignment with IT governance, auditability, and compliance requirements, especially within regulated change frameworks.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in QA, testing, or validation roles, including hands-on test automation.
- Experience Windchill PLM testing, covering core capabilities such as:
- Part and BOM Management
- Document and CAD Management
- Change and Workflow Management
- Experience with Windchill configuration constructs (ACLs, lifecycles, workflows, OIRs, types, attributes).
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Tosca, Selenium, or equivalent enterprise tools).
- Experience with qTest, or similar ALM/test management platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and defect triaging capabilities.
- Fluent in English (C1).
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Experience defining or implementing test automation strategies at scale
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration.
- Experience in PLM integrations (ERP, CAD, or other enterprise systems).
- Experience working in a global, distributed team environment.
- Experience with or ITSM tools for defect/change tracking
