Senior Software Engineer - Content Safety

WHY CONTENT SAFETY?

Safety and Civility is Roblox's #1 priority and our mission is to protect our community. As a Senior Software Engineer on Content Safety, you'll build systems to ensure that user-generated content across Roblox is safe and civil, including images, experiences, and much more. You'll work on some of the most challenging problems we face, such as identifying misleading 3D experiences and exploitative 3D models. You will look at hundreds of millions of content per week. You will report to an engineering leader on our Content Safety Team.

You Are:

• Versatile: You are comfortable with several languages and technologies already and take a creative and strategic approach to solving hard problems.
• Analytical: Excited to investigate large, ambiguous problems, and measure the problems and the solutions.
• User Oriented: You always start with the needs of the user, whether they are Roblox users or internal engineers before architecting a solution.
• Team-oriented: You lift up your peers and find ways to make the team stronger.

You Will:

• Build high-scale systems to detect and address problematic content on Roblox.
• Develop new detection approaches, ML model improvements, and new feature pipelines, in a rapidly evolving landscape.
• Take a data-driven approach to assess gaps in our detections. Think creatively and adversarially to identify opportunities and implement them.
• Help define the team's roadmap and technical foundations towards keeping users on Roblox safe

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• 5+ years of experience building and shipping large-scale services to production
• 5+ years of experience working on multi-person codebases, including open-source or personal projects
• Passion for delivering products end-to-end, from ideation through implementation, while being empathetic with cross-functional stakeholders.
