Senior Frontend Software Engineer - Productivity Platforms and Ecosystems

As a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) on the Roblox Operating Systems team, you will be responsible for driving engineering efforts for building and scaling a suite of applications and reusable components to empower other Robloxians in various roles such as People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Budgeting, Roadmapping, and Business Analytics! We envision an integrated platform with many applications and tools that streamlines processes while providing employees and leaders with the information they need to support the business.

This is a growing team at Roblox, and we need a team member who can work with a high level of freedom and autonomy, advocate the best development practices and collaborate with outside vendors, and work with cross functional partners regularly.

You Will:

• Develop frontend architectures to enable other engineers to effectively and efficiently build applications.
• Aid the strategy to grow the components and libraries necessary to empower other engineers in building the tools needed by our peers.
• Become an expert on our technology stack and make sure we always build new components and applications the right way.
• Collaborate with other teams within Roblox to make sure we are building products with a community approach.
• Author and review specifications for new features and improvements.
• Lead other engineers by example and through technical direction as an individual contributor.
• Balance researching new technologies with a practical approach to work towards the research efforts into the Roblox products.

You Have:

• You have 4+ years of experience working on frontend platforms with experience building extraordinary products with design, product, and/or other partners.
• Experience with web, mobile, or cross-platform UI technologies
• Experience leading large technical projects with multiple team members involved.
• Proficiency in shipping production web apps using a JavaScript framework such as React, AngularJS, or Vue.js.
• Proficiency with tools such as NPM, grunt, gulp, karma, or similar.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field or equivalent experience

• Well-versed in software development and architecture, with a strong background in frontend technologies.
• An expert in modern frontend development frameworks and languages, with a focus on scalability and maintainability.
• A strong collaborator with great communication skills and is able to work effectively across teams.
• Passionate for using technology to create intuitive tools that enhance user workflows and drive business insights.
