Engineering Manager / Senior Engineering Manager, Ads

As an Engineering Manager / Senior Engineering Manager, you will help build the ads system to power 3D immersive spaces from the ground up. This ads system will enable businesses, brands and developers to reach their audiences in new and innovative ways. As the engineering leader of this function you will work with partner teams to shape the advertising future for Roblox.

You will be responsible for our advertising systems and platform which millions of creators and brands around the world will use daily.

Success in this role will be determined by the candidate's ability to successfully build a roadmap for Roblox's Ads strategy for partnering with 3rd party demand, verification providers and other ad tech partners. The candidate will own the integration with selected partners and be accountable for driving ads demand and supply at scale.

This position will report directly to the Senior Engineering Director, and require you to work onsite at our HQ in San Mateo, CA Tuesdays to Thursdays.

• Shape and grow a high-performance engineering team with some of the highest-scale production responsibilities
• Hire, mentor, and develop senior engineers, managers, and leaders
• Create a culture and practice of raising the bar as well as delivering world class engineering systems and products
• Partner closely with all functions in the company to develop innovative solutions that create a cohesive and powerful marketplace

You Have

• A proven track record of highly technical delivery in high scalability environments
• Deep knowledge about advertising and the technology which powers it
• The ability to contribute to architecture and implementation discussions with in-depth technical knowledge regarding distributed backend systems that could handle many concurrent users.
• 3+ years in an engineering management role
• Demonstrable experience with driving complex projects that involved engineering efforts with multiple stakeholders.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field
