As the Director of Corporate Engineering reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, you will lead a key team responsible for the technology infrastructure and services that power Roblox's internal operations. You will be a visionary leader, driving innovation and teamwork to create a secure, productive, and enjoyable work environment for all Roblox employees.

You will:

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for corporate engineering that aligns with Roblox's overall business goals.
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions that improve employee efficiency, teamwork, and happiness.
  • Ensure the flawless operation and maintenance of Roblox's new campus builds, enterprise compute and networking infrastructure, broad efficiency applications, and helpdesk services.
  • Prioritize security and user-friendliness in all aspects of corporate engineering. Implement robust security protocols while ensuring that tools and services are intuitive and easy to use.
  • Partner with leaders across the organization, including IT, People, Facilities, and Finance, to understand their needs and deliver solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Lead budgets and resources optimally, ensuring efficient delivery of high-quality services.

You have:

  • Proven Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading and scaling IT teams in a corporate environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, productivity tools, and helpdesk operations.
  • Visionary Thinking: Ability to anticipate future technology trends and develop unique solutions that address the evolving needs of a growing organization.
  • Collaboration: Consistent track record of building strong relationships and collaborate optimally with multi-functional teams.
  • Security & Usability: A strong commitment to security and user experience, with a track record of delivering solutions that balance both.
  • Roblox Alignment: Embodiment of Roblox's leadership principles, including respect, safety, creativity, and community

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range
$308,870—$367,770 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
