The People Science & Analytics team at Roblox supports our People, Places, & Systems group in all areas of applied statistics, analytics, and data science for internal operations. Our team works to deliver a wide range of insights and solutions for Roblox, from developing industry-leading hiring assessments to architecting data analytics systems and tools. In this role you will join an elite group of analysts and data scientists who are passionate about collecting and using qualitative and quantitative data to design and support Roblox’s approach to leadership, people development, and organisational design and culture. We are responsible for crafting and managing Roblox’s data warehouse, analytical tools, and reports, which are utilised by internal stakeholders throughout the company. Our focus is on optimising performance and ensuring code maintainability. We prioritise transforming data to align with business objectives and offer a solid data foundation and expert mentorship to support data-driven HR initiatives.
Shift Time: 2:00pm - 10:30pm IST (Cabs will be provided)
You will:
- Partner with the teams within the People, Places, & Systems organisation to identify key metrics, trends, and analytical needs with an emphasis on improving and scaling our analytical offerings.
- Analyse large data sets to distil insights and connect disparate ideas into a meaningful story to drive strategy, action, and decision-making at an executive level.
- Diagnose operational breakdowns at the root cause and work with key stakeholders to find efficient and comprehensive solutions.
- Support data management, analysis and reporting driving insights for Partners and Executives using our people data ecosystem.
- Handle ad hoc reporting and analytical requests, while addressing stakeholder long-term needs.
You have:
- 5+ years of experience as a data scientist, data engineer, or related role.
- Experience managing production data pipelines or warehousing data (e.g., Modern Data Warehouse stacks such as dbt, Airflow, Looker, AWS, BigQuery, Snowflake).
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of statistical analysis software (R or Python).
- Development background in order to prototype custom analytics/tooling. Architect and work closely with other team members to develop scalable cloud-based data analytic solutions.
- A consistent track record to learn quickly and works well both independently as well as in a team setting.

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
