Role Summary Join Rivian’s Cockpit and Trim team within Interior Engineering, where you’ll play a key role in shaping innovation and impactful products from concept through volume production. Responsibilities Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering 4+ years experience in the automotive sector (or equivalent) preferred in instrument panel design of Cross Car Beam, Glove Box, IP Upper, HVAC Ducts, Vents, etc Demonstrated strong understanding of engineering first principles for effective problem identification and resolution Strong working knowledge of FMVSS, ECE, NCAP and other automotive evaluation and regulatory achievement Understanding of various interior manufacturing processes, including injection molding, blow molding, cut/sew/wrap, hot plate welding, etc. Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical information to a diverse audience, both verbally and in written form Strong capability in Catia V6, including sketcher, GSD and part workbenches Ability to travel domestically and internationally to support vehicle launch activities. Pay Disclosure Salary Range Irvine-Based Applicants: $107,800-$142,900 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, and other factors permitted by law). Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
