We are looking for senior engineering talent to help us maintain this high technical bar, while building innovative solutions to ensure the XRPL can power the growing needs of the global digital economy. Ideal candidates will have a track record of defining a technical vision, but also developing the incremental path to get from here to there and bringing others along on the journey.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Increase the capabilities, performance, scalability, reliability, and security of the XRP ledger.
- You keep an eye on the industry evolution in the blockchain and crypto world and ensure the XRPL is poised to meet the needs of blockchain developers.
- Work across RippleX and the broader XRPL community to understand the requirements of XRPL builders, and implement the technical strategy to support them.
- You are hands-on and know what is needed to build highly available, scalable, distributed systems, and you cherish every opportunity to share your experience and knowledge with the engineering community.
- You have an operator attitude. You understand the value of delivering incremental value and engineering fundamentals.
- Continuously raise our standard of engineering excellence by implementing and driving standard methodologies for architecture, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Actively participate in code reviews to maintain the high quality of our codebase.
- You love mentoring and providing guidance and assistance in the career development of others.
- Your strength lies in the ability to bring clarity to ambiguous situations and influence people around you comes natural to you.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 10+ years of hands-on software development and architecture experience on large-scale distributed backend systems, with minimum 4+ years experience working as a tech lead and mentoring other specialists
- Expert-level experience in C++ is required.
- Experience with blockchain technology and protocols, and traditional financial systems and concepts.
- Experience with crafting or contributing to multi-year engineering roadmaps.
- Experience with implementing successful approaches, techniques, and systems for the team and the company to achieve success.
- Experience with leading software evaluation and decision making processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience addressing broad audiences.
