Senior Security Engineer - Player Security, Information Security

As a Senior Security Engineer within Player Security your efforts will be critical to making our accounts and wider service ecosystem more resilient against attacks and exploits. You will be responsible for building out our analytical capabilities and implementing effective detection methodologies against threat actors targeting Players and Riot. You will also be partnering with other teams in cross-discipline projects to make security improvements through new and existing services that will ensure a safe and secure gaming experience for our players. 

The ideal candidate would have prior experience in data analysis/insights and data-driven pipeline engineering. 

Reporting to the Manager, Security Engineering this role can be based in Dublin (Ireland), Los Angeles, or Seattle (US)

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other engineering, data and security teams to improve existing services or build new ones!
• Make sense of our large datasets to understand how attackers move and how we can stop them more effectively
• Design and build internal tools that will allow us to detect bad actors within Riot's ecosystem
• Lead and contribute to technical design, decision-making and implementation
• Deliver high quality scalable security services for millions of players!

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of security-focused software development  or security-focused data engineering experience
• Experience working with large datasets and data platforms such as Databricks
• Experience in building data-driven or event-driven pipelines in (any of) Go/Python/Java/TypeScript
• Familiarity with online multiplayer gaming ecosystems
• Familiarity working in an agile environment
• Strong ability to collaborate with teammates across multiple disciplines

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with OAuth 2.0 standards and development
• Experience working in (any of) Go/Java//TypeScript for high-availability backend services
• Prior experience developing security services for product ecosystems.
• Experience working with AWS cloud services
• Familiarity with C++
