Core NG team is responsible for building Ringcentral’s PBX backend core functionalities. Team develops and maintains highly scalable linux based microservices which are used by millions of people all around the globe.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Developer to join our team. This role will be responsible for development of cloud based backend core functionalities of RingCentral’s Phone solution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SaaS based software development. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with architects and be responsible for the full development cycle;

  • Gather requirements and maintain technical documentation;

  • Development of new functionality in C++, Rust;

  • Maintain existing code, analyze and fix bugs.


Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience:

  • BS/MS degree or equivalent experience in the field.

  • 10+ years of experience with implementing, supporting and enhancing software products in the SaaS domain.

  • Strong Hands-on experience in developing server side backend applications using C++, Linux, open source libraries etc.

  • Hands-on experience on deploying code on public cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) using container technologies.

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of SDLC best practices and techniques. 

  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

  • Deep understanding of the mechanisms and protocols of network interaction;

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team
     

Will be a plus

  • Experience with Rust;

  • Experience in developing high-load, fault-tolerant services;

  • Understanding of modern containerization / orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
