We develop medicines for previously untreatable or undertreated diseases. We recognize the courage it takes for patients and their caregivers to begin their journey of advocacy to find the answers they need. Their courage inspires us to challenge convention, ask bold questions and seek answers for them. Every day, we strive for excellence through our willingness to adapt, learn, and our tenacity to overcome barriers, together.

The role will serve as a primary point of contact between Rhythm, the selected vendors, and participating registries for data-related activities. The Data Scientist will oversee the local registry data collection (mapping, transformation, quality-check) and the federated analyses specifications and outputs within a federated OMOP CDM-based environment provided and maintained by the vendors.

  • Collaboration with vendors
  • Collaborate with the vendor on source data review, OMOP mapping, ETL logic, and data quality checks, helping to identify, prioritize, and resolve quality issues
  • Help with data-related questions raised by the vendor and coordinate timely responses from centers when local input is required
  • Ensure that data-related discussions remain aligned with Rhythm’s scientific objectives, project scope, timelines, and budget
  • Collaboration with sites/registries owners
  • Support sites in understanding project data requirements, minimum datasets, expected formats, timelines, and quality control processes
  • Coordinate with sites and the vendor to investigate data quality issues such as missing data, inconsistent values, duplicate records, etc.
  • Collaborate with research teams (scientific committees, internal stakeholders, participating sites) to develop insights and drive evidence generation
  • Perform any other relevant tasks as needed to support the team and company objectives.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Data Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent scientific or technical discipline
