Job Description

Renesas is looking for an Senior Product Application Engineer for our Sensor Signal Conditioning Group for our Office in Varna, Bulgaria

Our team designs next generation semiconductor products for automotive, medical, industrial and space applications for sensor signal conditioners. As a member of our Application Team you’ll interface with various internal teams and with our customers, providing design in support for our products.

Responsibilities:

• Apply knowledge and basic problem-solving techniques to define and resolve problems.
• Develop practices and procedures and execute lab tests, debugging, system benchmark tests and competitor product analysis.
• Exchanges information with colleagues and immediate supervisor, project leaders and other professionals in the team.
• Design, build and debug, small PCBs
• Create technical documents (evaluation report, application note)
• Technical customer support.
• Provide customer feedback and support Product Managers for new product definition.
• Assist for various marketing activities, product launch, seminars, workshop, exhibitions.
• Support for development and evaluation of customer hardware and software solutions for Renesas Sensor Signal Conditioner products
• Provide training to Renesas Sales/FAE team as well as to customers and distributors.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Communication Technologies or a related field
• Problem-solving mindset
• Minimum of 8 years professional experience in this field.
• A team player who is self-motivated, resourceful, proactive and able to work in a collaborative environment with both individual and team decision making
• Willingness to learn, experiment, and participate in real-world automotive, industrial, medical and space projects
• Good communication and technical reporting skills
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Experience and knowledge in sensing application
• Analog and digital circuitry hardware design/troubleshooting and systems software design
• Skilled in the laboratory (Oscilloscope, Multimeters, Power Supply, Signal Generator, Logic analyzer)
• Proficient with schematic design, PCB layout, programming Python
• Familiarity with low-level communication protocols I2C, SPI, UART, SENT, LIN protocol
• Experience in automotive development process, FuSa and standards (ISO 16949 & 26262) is highly appreciated.
