Senior Embedded Engineer - Protocol Development

Location: Kallithea, Athens, gr

Job Description

Product oriented position with main focus to design, develop and test embedded software to support the development of the Bluetooth Stack, in order to give Renesas a competitive advantage in the IC market. 

• Develop SW in the respective areas according to the BTIP project Vision and Roadmap and in collaboration with the SW Architects 

• “Own” the quality of the software (ensure the quality of delivered software) 

• Write, test and document Embedded Software. 

• Schedule own tasks, participate in SW planning and report progress to project leader 

• Mentoring, coaching and technical task supervision of more junior team members 

• Bring voice of the teams/stakeholders inside the System Architecture 

Qualifications

• Bachelor level with approx. 6 years deep working experience in Embedded Software, or Academic level with 4 years of experience. 

• Fully competent in all aspects of software engineering, concerning coding and testing. 

• Ability to prioritise work, set goals and meet deadlines for self and others. 

• System knowledge (SW/HW) 

• Good written and verbal communication skills. 

• Software development methodologies (Agile, SW testing etc.) and SCM (Git, SVN etc.) 

• Proficiency in C programming and experience in development of software in deeply embedded platforms

• Verification and testing of deliverables against specifications and requirements 

• Human relations skills are important to convince others (e.g. in projects) based on technical knowledge and shows assertiveness to alert superiors/colleagues. 

• Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills – Familiarity with embedded debugging tools and programming in a resource constrained environment. 

Desirable 

• Bluetooth Stack development proven experience. 

• SW development ARM Cortex-M processors 

• Multi-disciplinary focus, digital hardware and embedded software.
