Systems Engineer III

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

The Global Engineering team is responsible for Windows Virtual and Windows OS/Automation information technology, risk assessment, development,
design and validation of emerging and/or improved infrastructure technologies and services enabling business goals and requirements for
transition to global operations.
Provide (third) level support to ensure functional and operational integrity of Data Center technical services used throughout RELX and their
subsidiaries in support of business products and infrastructure services for all RELX internal and external customers. Scope includes the
infrastructure support of Windows, and similar IT platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience
• BS Engineering/Computer Science

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Experience of Windows infrastructure.
• Experience in VMware Management.
• Window OS installation and troubleshooting.
• Experience in virtual server environments.
• Experience in scripts automation.
• Understanding of Cloud implementation
• Experience with SFTP
• Experience in Defender A/V
• Experience in Credential Guard
• Experience in MECM Patching Process
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Diagnose system performance problems using available standard performance tools and system indicators such as queue lengths, CPU utilization, etc.
• Install program products and system components
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of all system components and of program products assigned to support.
• Work closely with development groups, support groups, and vendors to coordinate special operations, and communicate/escalate problemsas appropriate to meet assigned deadlines.
• Assist in daily support of the systems/products assigned, through early detection and pursuit or changes in system responses or operation.
• Work closely with support groups to refine system monitoring and reporting, and to assist them in their analysis and problem recovery.
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of major system components in completing assigned tasks (i.e., storage systems and Windows infrastructure).
• Assist in daily support of the systems/products assigned, through early detection and pursuit or changes in system responses or operation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of system components in completing assigned tasks (i.e., storage systems, and Windows/Virtual infrastructure).
