About the Role
 

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead a team of Software Engineers, providing expertise. You will guide project plans, schedules, and methodologies, while also coding complex systems.
 

Responsibilities

• Serving as the initial point of escalation for software development issues within specific area of responsibility
• Interfacing with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements
• Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity
• Completing complex bug fixes
• Working closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs
• Implementing development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews
• Operating in various development environments (Agile, Kanban, etc) while collaborating with key stakeholders
• Mentoring and/or training entry-level software engineers as directed by department management

Requirements

• Have extensive experience in Software Engineering, consistently delivering successful outcomes over an extended period.
• Have a BS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of software development methodologies
• Be able to partner and lead internal and external technology resources in solving complex business needs
• Be proficient in test-driven development
• Be skilled in designing and working with complex data models
• Be experienced in using and developing applicable tool sets
• Be capable of managing and encouraging new ideas from staff to foster improvements through innovations
