JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Work as part of an Agile development squad to build and scale software tooling, while ensuring that it continuously generates value for all application development teams. Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that meet customer and business requirements. Create high-quality software that is maintainable, scalable, and efficient. Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers to mentor and train team members, helping them grow their skills and capabilities, lead software development projects, including planning, scheduling, and tracking progress. Review code written by other team members to ensure that it adheres to established coding standards, is of high quality, and is maintainable. Provide detailed technical knowledge on cloud infrastructure design, cloud services integration, security compliance, automation, cost optimization and continuous improvements as it relates to our proprietary products and solutions. Research new technologies and techniques that can improve software development processes and solve technical problems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and quality assurance engineers, to develop software solutions that meet business requirements. Create and maintain technical documentation, such as system architecture diagrams, API documentation, and code documentation. Provide technical support to customers or end-users, and troubleshoot issues and provide solutions or work with the customer support team to resolve technical issues. Perform other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field required.
• 2 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.

• Also required is: 2 years of experience: developing in Java, Python including REST interfaces, Web UI, and Database persistence to allow Web Interfaces to communicate to business logic and database persistence via REST interfaces; leading teams from a technical and mentorship level, including removing any technical roadblocks, helping to define stories, performing code reviews, and having regular meetings with team members for personal support; utilizing AWS Cloud Services for application management, different persistent technologies, and serverless services.
• Employee reports to LexisNexis USA office in Raleigh, NC but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.
• Experience can be concurrent.
