Senior Quality Test Engineer I

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Develop and execute performance and automation tests. Work with management to enhance quality and process standards and plan and execute effective and efficient test approaches to accomplish on-time and efficient delivery of high-quality software products and/or data. Intermediate understanding of QA testing including different testing methodologies, legacy and new innovation/acquisition products. Work with more senior members of the team to evolve processes that enable efficient delivery and maintenance with consistent direction. Research available tools and lead or participate in initiatives to identify and implement those that will cost-effectively enhance testing capabilities and product quality. Work with more senior members of the team to identify areas for cooperation with other teams to improve overall quality and with peers or others and implement initiatives improving testing capability and efficiency. Configure, maintain, and/or administer testing tools or environments. Take on developmental assignments to support with the mentoring and coaching of others. Perform other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field required.
• 3 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.

• Also required is:
  • 3 years of experience: planning, designing automated tests and programming/coding using JAVA/J2EE; in Database validation by Using Oracle or PostgreSQL to write complex queries using different joints, sub queries, and nested queries and fine-tune long-running queries for efficient data retrieval; in performing root cause analysis and identifying tools which assist in Quality Assurance testing by log4j2 or related application logging tools.
  • 2 years of experience: in technical requirements analysis by using Object Oriented concepts to design services and interfaces; in security testing by using penetrating or dynamic security testing tools such as ReadyAPI, BurpScan.
• Employee reports to LexisNexis Risk Solutions FL, Inc. office in San Francisco, CA, but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.
• Experience can be concurrent.

SALARY RANGE:

• $136,000 to $140,500/year
