About the Role
 

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex data pipelines and architectures. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability, efficiency, and reliability of data systems. Your expertise in big data technologies will be critical in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.
 

Responsibilities

• Performing daily data loads ensuring recurring updates are logged and tracked.
• Interfacing with other technical personnel or team members to document, interpret, and finalize requirements.
• Producing code that is efficient, repeatable, without defects, and adherent to best practices
• Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of data components
• Implementing development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews
• Identifying advantages to work with other teams to improve overall quality with peers

Requirements

• Be able to optimize query performance and improve data quality.
• Have experience with normalized and dimensional data modeling principles
• Have experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Have knowledge of distributed computing systems like Hadoop and Spark.
• Be able to optimize and tune data processing platforms for performance and scalability.
• Have expertise in a language used in data engineering, such as Python or Java.
