About the Role

The Manager of Software Engineering provides leadership, management, direction, and vision to software engineers and/or development employees including offshore contractors and consultants The core function of this position will be to build and maintain high performing software engineering teams. The position works closely with development peers, product and project leaders/managers, and other in-house software developers as well as directs the successful completion and delivery of respective software components and any other related deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Being a partner with offshore resources to address complex business needs.
• Ensuring enterprise and architectural standards and processes are followed.
• Serving as a senior source of expertise and write advanced complex code for computer systems.
• Managing system and user acceptance testing cycles to ensure accurate and quality business solutions.
• Recommending technical strategy and direction across functional area.
• Providing design input across a product.
• Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
• Designing and working with complex data models.

Requirements

• Have BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
• Have team lead and/ or management experience, with a Solid Technical foundation of the SDLC.
• Have Software Development experience in .Net, C#, Angular, React. Java, Cloud /AWS or Azure) and or Front-end development frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Data Science background: Machine Learning, Python, and SQL.
• Have experience in reporting all progress to senior management.
• Ability to have oversight of budgets, identifying and supporting talent, and defining resource requirements and allocations
• Engaging teams with advanced communication in English (required - verbal and written) as well as customer service skills.
• Hands-on collaborator and willingness to build and lead team.
